Where have I been?!?!! (& progress report #1)

Hey! I’m still alive and kicking!!

I know. There was radio silence, I didn't mean for this to happen but I'll explain why...

A software issue got in the way!

Somewhere around May, as I was developing the game, I suddenly ran into an error where RPGMaker wouldn’t launch past the splash screen – with my only clue being that the locale file was empty, or something like that.

Naturally, I tried to troubleshoot the issue, searched for as many causes and solutions as I could.

…For about 3 months.

You can already see where I’m going with this, but this vague and annoying little error has brought development to a complete halt, and right when it was finally picking up too…

I can’t say for sure what the solution was, since it just fixed itself one day when I tried opening the software by chance. I would have posted updates earlier had this issue never occured, but taking care of it was really draining... Anyways, the issue is fixed now!

While it took a while to get back to a proper rhythm, development is going steady again.

Which means spoilers~!

That’s right! Behind the scenes, I’ve been hard at work at making the story come to life and polishing the mechanical side of this project.

I’m really proud of what I can show here so far, but If you’d like to experience the game blind then please avoid!

Since equipped weapons unlock skills, it would make sense to know in advance what skill each weapon grants, right?

Here is some tech magic going on in one of the game’s future scenes.

A preview for some of the banter in Chapter 2.

The game will be getting a new logo soon! I was never quite happy with the initial logo, so I played around with some rough designs for a while until I landed on one I’m very proud of. Expect to see the full image soon!

With everything now aside, changes to the game page will also be rolled out in the near future and hopefully updates in between should be more frequent now.

Thanks for reading!

Until then,

Wanderer
